Biz Kimiz

Kuyucak Textile began with kilim production in 1968 under the vision of Süleyman Kuyucak. Today, with its 5th-generation management integrating 150 years of experience into a 30-year-old company structure, it is a pioneer in fiber, yarn and blanket production that brings textile waste back to life.

Our Sustainability Approach

Reuse · Reduce · Recycle

3R — Reuse, Reduce, Recycle

Yeniden Kullan (Reuse)

Textile production waste collected from garment manufacturers is reused and recovered in the recycling process. These collected wastes are integrated into the production process, enabling the creation of new products.

Azalt (Reduce)

Textile waste is carefully sorted by color and composition. In this process, the waste is converted into fiber with minimal loss. Cut into small pieces by a guillotine, the waste is transformed into fiber more efficiently, reducing resource use.

Recycle (Recycle)

Blending, Carding, Drawing and Open-End Spinning. Fibers blended by color and carded into a homogeneous state are, after the drawing process, spun into recycled yarn using the open-end rotor spinning method. This process transforms textile waste into new, usable yarns.

Open-end yarn production macro

1,000 tons of recycled yarn monthly, from Ne 1/1 to Ne 30/1.

1968 — Today

A legacy that grew from a kilim loom to the world

Taking its first steps with kilim production, Kuyucak Textile has expanded its product variety and today produces fiber, yarn and blankets on a 50,000 m² area, providing employment for approximately 210 people.

Production

From waste to yarn, a precise process

  1. Raw material entry & fiber opening

Textile waste is collected and sorted by color and composition.

  2. Tefrikleme & cutter

The shredded waste is turned into cotton fiber in the fiber-opening machine.

  3. Harman & tarak

Fibers of different colors are blended and made homogeneous by carding.

  4. Drawing & open-end yarn

Fine slivers become high-quality yarn through rotor spinning.

  5. Paketleme & sevkiyat

Yarns that pass quality control are carefully packaged and shipped.

Sustainability · Environmental Management

Not what we consume while producing, but what we give back to nature is what we count.

We have placed environmental management at the heart of our business. By bringing textile waste back to life, we produce without consuming virgin raw materials, reducing our burden on nature with every kilo of yarn.
